Ensuring that hulls remain solid and clean.
Ned Marine is a proven industry leader in the field of cathodic protection, both as to anodes and ICCP. Designed to ensure that vessel hulls remain clean and organism free, our product range offers both customised and standard solutions, including many types of antifouling anodes, sacrificial anodes and Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) systems. We understand how vital it is for seagoing vessels – or any ship, for that matter – to have high-quality, long-lasting anodes. That’s why Ned Marine anodes have a lifespan of up to five years.
Our in-house design and manufacturing capabilities enable us to supply customised anodes that can be installed anywhere on a ship’s hull, whatever the contours may be. We offer the full range of anode metals including zinc, aluminium and magnesium and they can be found on vessels all over the world.
Regular Inspections
Our experienced technicians provide regular inspections and maintenance programmes that are key to maximising the lifespan of anodes and ensuring effective protection against the corrosion that can result from electrolysis and biofouling organisms.
Ned Marine anodes are trusted worldwide, protecting ships, offshore structures, and critical maritime equipment from corrosion and biofouling. We offer three primary types of cathodic protection solutions, each designed for specific maritime applications.
- Sacrificial anodes: Made from zinc, aluminium, or magnesium, these protect vessels by corroding, leaving the ship’s hull intact, and extending the structural integrity of the vessel.
 - Anti-fouling anodes: Releasing ions into the water prevents marine organisms like barnacles and algae from attaching to the hull, reducing drag, improving fuel efficiency, and cutting maintenance costs.
 - ICCP: Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) systems use an external electric current to prevent corrosion actively, automatically adjusting output to ensure optimal protection.
