TFE Spray Guard
TFE Spray-Guards have no seal, therefore the shields can easily be removed for access to pipe-work during maintenance (or in the event of a leak) and re-installed. Often providing protection for the life of the vessel. The TYPE approved TFE Spray-Guards are made to exactly fit a specific joint such as flange, coupling, valve, elbow, tee or any special fitting. Shields for standard flanges, valves, couplings, elbows and tee's are kept in stock. For these we only require pipe size and joint type.
SOLAS regulations require engine rooms and hot surfaces to be protected against hazardous spray outs from pipelines containing fuel or lube oil. These are generally considered as being joints and fittings such as flanges, valves, couplings etc.
